What precedes the Revival? (Day 9)

Someone once said that to prepare for God's revival, we need to do 2 things: (1) to confess and repent of sins; (2) to seek God's face.

Today I read Daniel Ch. 9. The prophet Daniel confessed sins of himself and of the nation Israel before God brought about revival to Israel. The list of sins goes on and on and he begs God to forgive their sins, to answer his prayer, and to act without delay .

God has been putting the same burden upon my heart, to confess my own sins and sins of the church (PAC). I couldn't imagine there are many sins great and small (sometimes it's hard to notice the tiny sins, but they are real - all putting oneself / one thing before God). In prayer, my mouth was easily (but sadly) filled with sins of all kinds we committed as individuals, leaders, and as a church. My steps became heavier while making the confession and walking the park at the same time. I felt burdened to see the sins of the church.

To expect revival, there is no other way to prepare ourselves and the church than this.

"Lord, forgive us. Bring revival to us!"
