I was encouraged by today's reading (Lk 2:36-37). Anna, a genuine God-loving widow, lived an exemplary life for all who claim to be Christ's followers. Although her biography is one of the briefest in Bible history, her life is still fragrant (at least we know millions of girls in the English-speaking countries are named after her). Her commitment to God is obvious with the frequent/regular practice of prayer and fast, night and day throughout her entire life. Guess what, she must be over 100 years old when she met baby Jesus!
